In this Masterclass “Self-confidence for self-assertion”, we continue our journey along the road to confidence.
We’re going to take action. We’re going to increase our ability to trust ourselves to assert ourselves by developing our technical and behavioral skills, our ability to engage in an initiative, to be optimistic in seeking out the positive, but also to learn to trust ourselves in the face of failures or mistakes to develop our capacity to learn about all the elements that make up an initiative. To move from intention to reality, we need to trust ourselves, believe in what we do, believe in who we are and believe in our ambitions.

12 LESSONS
2H45 MASTERCLASS
1/ Developing your expertise
In this lesson, we’ll see that our know-how is the basis of our operational confidence. You’ll discover how knowledge, know-how and coping skills are intertwined, so that you can use them as assets in asserting yourself and expressing your skills.
17:39
2/ Developing your soft skills
While know-how is one of the foundations of our self-confidence, savoir-être is what makes us superior beings. Empathy, listening and benevolence are all key skills when it comes to relating to others. This lesson will show you how to build and improve your behavioral skills with yourself and with your personal and professional environment.
12:35
3/ Taking the initiative to assert yourself
In this lesson, we’ll see that asserting yourself means moving from intention to action, taking the initiative, so as to take charge of your life and your decisions. It means taking responsibility for your choices, whatever the consequences. In this lesson, we’ll look at the obstacles to taking the initiative and how to overcome them to become elusive.
16:28
4/ Daily self-discipline
In this lesson, we’ll look at self-discipline as an indispensable ingredient of self-confidence, by arbitrating between “pleasure” and “constraint” activities. You’ll see how to find the motivation to do what you don’t always want to do, to do it over time and to do it right to the end.
12:10
5/ Use your intuition and listen to your little voice
In this lesson, we’ll see that intuition is an ultra-fast way of thinking, faster than reason but less reliable. You’ll be able to understand both your emotional and rational thought systems and use them to best advantage when making decisions.
11:52
6/ Allowing yourself the right to make mistakes
This lesson is dedicated to the right to make mistakes. Those who don’t make mistakes, or who refuse to acknowledge them, progress more slowly than others. You will learn not to shy away from the risk of error and to dare to take calculated risks.
14:29
7/ Self-debriefing
Debriefing is a military approach to learning from experience. This lesson, dedicated to debriefing yourself and your actions, will give you the keys to effective self-debriefing by neutralizing perceptual biases and putting emotions at the heart of experiential learning.
15:20
8/ Getting out of your comfort zone
This lesson will show you how to get out of your comfort zone, i.e. the set of activities, habits and behaviours that are familiar to you, but which may lead you not to act or take risks. You’ll learn to create spaces for surprise, so that you can dare to expand your zone of confidence.
15:29
9/ Being resilient facing failure
Failure is often frowned upon. We see it as a weakness, a fault, rather than a sign of daring and experience. Yet to act is to run the risk of failure. This lesson will show you how to accept the risk of failure and turn it into a strength to assert yourself and develop new skills.
13:17
10/ Accepting high intensity
A high-intensity situation is one in which circumstances will generate pressure, stress and emotions. In this lesson, using the CRITER® method, you’ll learn how to balance and control your perception of high intensity, so that it doesn’t get in the way of what you need to do to remain effective and efficient.
14:25
11/ To have a plan B or not
Plan B is the way out. It’s the way out of a potential failure; it’s a side road you can take if the main road is blocked. This lesson will be devoted to the use of Plan B, to reap its full benefits without falling into the trap of losing motivation for Plan A.
11:36
12/ Cultivating optimism
What characterizes optimists is their confidence in the future. In this last lesson of the Masterclass, you’ll see how to choose enlightened optimism to face up to uncertainty and assert yourself in all circumstances, even the most difficult.
